INSURANCE INSTITUTE OF INDIA, formed in 1955 as a Federation of Insurance Institutes, is recognized by the Indian Insurance Industry, SAARC countries and many other developing insurance markets as a pioneer in insurance education, responding to the academic needs of the industry as well as addressing the causes of building and developing professionalism. Its certifications are internationally recognized.

Thiruvananthapuram Insurance Institute, an Associated Institute of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai, was formed in the year 1962. Ever since its inception; the Institute has consistently played a significant role in addressing the academic needs of insurance fraternity in this part of the state. Thiruvananthapuram Insurance Institute is organizing Seminars and Conferences and Insurance Awareness Programs at regular intervals. The Institute is forging ahead with new initiatives such as entering into tie-ups with various academic institutions to impart awareness in insurance industry in general and insurance as a career, in particular.

Currently, the membership strength of the Institute stands at 4203 including 548 Associates and 555 Fellows.
