The National Seminar on the topic “Insurance for All by 2047”, held at the College of Engineering Trivandrum, commenced with the III Anthem. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. I. Latha, Council Member, Insurance Institute of India. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sri B. Ajish, Chairman, was unable to attend the session. Sri Renjith Gangadharan delivered the keynote address on the theme “Insurance for All by 2047.”
The session discussed various aspects of insurance and highlighted the areas in which young professionals can contribute to the industry’s growth. It also explored the strategies required to achieve the vision of “Insurance for All by 2047.” Following this, Sri Adv. Damodharan Potti conducted a session on “Construction Phase Insurance and Operational Phase Insurance.” Using practical examples, the speaker explained the concepts of General Insurance and emphasized the importance of Engineering Insurance in the engineering sector. The session was highly interactive and received enthusiastic participation from the students.
After the two technical sessions, Dr. Suresh K. delivered the felicitation address and highlighted the lack of insurance awareness among students and the importance of promoting insurance literacy in society. Short notes on Engineering Insurance, CGL Policy, and ERM were distributed along with the study materials provided to the participants. Dr. Vijaya S. Uthaman, Assistant Professor, CETSOM, delivered the vote of thanks.
The seminar concluded at 5:00 PM, with approximately 70 students from various batches participating in the programme.
