Annual General Meeting 2024

The Annual General Meeting 2024 of Thiruvananthapuram Insurance Institute was held on 26 June 2024 at the Conference Hall, LIC Divisional Office, Thiruvananthapuram. The meeting commenced with the III Anthem, followed by the welcome address delivered by Kum. Latha I, Vice President and Council Member of Thiruvananthapuram Insurance Institute.

The presidential address was delivered by the Chairman of Thiruvananthapuram Insurance Institute, who also serves as the Senior Divisional Manager of LIC Thiruvananthapuram Division. During the meeting, the Institute’s annual journal, “Bima Bodhi”, was officially released by the Chairman.

A significant milestone of the meeting was the approval of the bye-law amendment, officially changing the name of Trivandrum Insurance Institute to Thiruvananthapuram Insurance Institute. The newly designed Institute logo, created by Sri S. Sajukumar, was also unveiled on this occasion.

Sri R. S. Anoop, Honorary Secretary, presented the Annual Report for the year 2023–24. The event also included the felicitation of Fellows and subject toppers for the academic year 2023–24. The Institute honoured Sri R. S. Anoop, who was transferred to the Tirunelveli Division following his promotion, and Smt. Susan Kuruvilla, Committee Member, who retired in June 2024, in recognition of their valuable contributions to the Institute.

Following the felicitation ceremony, Smt. V. K. Anitha, Honorary Treasurer, presented the audited final accounts prepared by M/s Rajiv and Jose, Chartered Accountants, along with the proposed budget for the financial year 2024–25.

The Returning Officer, Sri C. A. Jayaprakash, announced the results of the election to the Managing Committee. Smt. V. K. Anitha proposed the appointment of M/s Rajiv and Jose as the Institute’s auditors for the financial year 2024–25. The Annual Report, audited accounts, budget, and auditor appointment proposal were unanimously approved by the Annual General Body Meeting.

The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Sri Saran M. U, Member of the Managing Committee.
